About the role
We're hiring a Head of Business Development to own how Dealstitch grows across private markets. You'll build and work the relationships that turn into engagements, bringing in new business from investors and the firms that serve them. It's a base-plus-upside role for a self-starter who wants their earnings to track the business they build.
What you'll do
- Own our new-business pipeline end to end: source, develop, and close engagements with private market firms across private equity, private credit, real assets, and venture.
- Build and work a network of relationships across investors and the ecosystem around them, including fund administrators, data and technology providers, and the advisors those firms trust.
- Represent Dealstitch where the market gathers, from conferences and industry events to one-on-one introductions.
- Work with our partners and delivery leads to scope opportunities, shape proposals, and turn interest into signed work.
- Grow accounts over time, turning a first engagement into a lasting relationship.
What we're looking for
- 5 to 10 years of direct sales or business development experience selling systems, data, or services into private market firms, for example fund administration, data and analytics, or technology and consulting providers.
- Existing network of investors and the firms serving them, with the credibility to open doors quickly.
- A track record of consistently winning and growing new business in this industry.
- A self-starter who needs little direction and who thrives in a niche they know cold.
- Frequent travel with a compulsive need to be in front of prospects, partners, and clients.
